Regulated Monitoring & Reporting

Regulated Monitoring & Reporting is the workspace module for turning governed indicators, monitoring evidence, source refs, impact analysis, and consultation summaries into reviewed reporting and improvement records.

Use it when a team needs periodic monitoring reports, evaluation reports, leadership views, KPI scorecards, improvement-loop tracking, or source-grounded briefing packs.

What Regulated Monitoring & Reporting Owns

  • Evaluation frameworks.
  • Monitoring and reporting cases.
  • Objective, outcome, indicator, monitor, source graph, impact, and consultation refs.
  • Report definitions and report runs.
  • Report evidence snapshots and dashboard/view configuration snapshots.
  • Improvement-loop records and change/work handoff refs.
  • Leadership briefing and audit-export handoff refs.

This module is a governed reporting workbench. It does not own governed indicator definitions or measurements, governed monitor definitions or results, impact-analysis scenarios, source graph truth, raw BI warehouse data, AI execution, compliance posture scoring, or audit package generation.

User Journey

  1. Open Governance > Regulated Monitoring & Reporting.
  2. Create an evaluation framework or monitoring/reporting case.
  3. Reference objectives, outcomes, indicators, monitor results, source graph evidence, impact records, and consultation summaries.
  4. Create report definitions and report-run snapshots.
  5. Record dashboard/view configuration snapshots without creating a BI warehouse.
  6. Track improvement-loop records and handoffs to work management, change management, audit packages, or posture consumers.

Decision Receipts

Report runs that are generated, reviewed, exported, stale, or blocked hand off sanitized decision receipts to Governance Trace.

The receipt binds the report run to the report definition, optional reporting framework ref, actor/reviewer/approver refs, outcome, capability state, and integrity state. It records whether result, evidence, and narrative snapshots exist, but it does not copy dashboard payloads, report narrative text, source data, prompts, vectors, storage paths, credentials, or BI warehouse content into the receipt.

Analytics Boundary

This module stores governed report and dashboard configuration snapshots. Direct Power BI, SAS, external BI, data warehouse, predictive analytics, and embedded analytics integrations are separate promoted capabilities.

For now, use capability states such as reference-only, roadmap, deployment-dependent, provider-not-configured, or evidence-required when a report depends on external analytics that are not configured or not included in the current deployment.

AI Boundary

AI can assist with KPI suggestions, gap summaries, report narratives, improvement recommendations, and stakeholder/source context summaries when policy allows.

AI output remains advisory until reviewed. The module does not execute AI, store prompts, own embeddings or vectors, or finalize compliance posture.

Cloud And On-Prem

Cloud and on-prem expose the same Regulated Monitoring & Reporting behavior. Deployment-specific analytics, provider, or data-flow differences must be represented through capability states and source-owned evidence refs.

Do Not Use This Module To Claim

  • External BI or predictive analytics integration is implemented.
  • A live data warehouse or analytics adapter is running.
  • Final compliance posture is calculated here.
  • Guaranteed accuracy, SLA, residency certification, or legal validity.

Those outcomes require source-owner evidence or separate promoted implementation specs.
