Work Management

The Work Management module centralizes governance work that needs an owner, a due date, a calendar entry, or an expiry signal.

It is a shared foundation. Governance modules such as Regulatory Register, Sources, and Audit Packages can contribute work descriptors. Work Management records the task or projection, but the source record remains owned by its module.

When to use it

Use Work Management when you need to:

  • Create manual internal tasks for governance follow-up.
  • Review projected work items from enabled modules.
  • Track review dates, due dates, and expiry dates in one place.
  • Keep the task inbox and calendar consistent without each module building its own task engine.

What you see in the product

Work Management lives under Organization work in the workspace.

The console shows manual tasks, projected work items, calendar items, expiry items, projection runs, and descriptor lists. Manual tasks can move through the task states shown in the product. Projected work keeps a reference to its owning record so users can return to the module that owns the source truth.

How it fits with other modules

Work Management does not decide source applicability, posture, exports, or compliance outcomes. It records and displays work that other modules publish through approved descriptors. For example:

  • Regulatory Register can project source-change triage and review-cycle work.
  • Sources can contribute expiry-driven work for source versions.
  • Compliance Posture can contribute recalculation-review work.
  • Audit Packages can contribute package generation-review work when enabled.
  • Governed Lifecycle projects waiting and failed lifecycle steps, plus configured due/reminder/warning/grace/escalation milestones, into the central work and calendar views.

Work Management owns the central task, calendar, expiry, and descriptor collection surfaces; enabled source modules publish the work or expiry descriptors that should appear there.
