Novantra Documentation

Novantra is a governed operations platform for regulated industries. Configure any process, capture evidence, prove compliance against any framework, in your cloud or on-premise.

These docs walk through everything you need to use the platform: standing up an install, administering a workspace, configuring the governance modules, running day-2 operations, and integrating with the v1 REST API. The product is the same in Cloud and Sovereign; only the install layer differs.

Where to start

Guides

Guides is the home for everyone who uses Novantra from inside the product: workspace administrators, governance leads, Sovereign operators, security teams.

It covers:

  • Setup (Sovereign installation, mail, access URLs, self-managed storage, self-managed secret keys).
  • Workspace administration (members, roles, audit log, public access).
  • Governance, the substantive layer: the governance module catalogue, AI Governance, Governed Automation, Party Governance, Trace and Lineage, Classification, and the cross-organization model.
  • Training for assigning courses to parties.
  • Operations for running a Sovereign install day to day.
  • Glossary for the recurring vocabulary.

If Novantra is new to you, start with Getting Started for a role-based orientation map.

Developers

Developers is the home for integrators building on top of Novantra: ingesting governance records into a warehouse, pushing findings from scanners, wiring submission events into a regulator portal, building a custom dashboard.

It covers the v1 REST API at /api/v1/...: curated, versioned, scope-token authenticated, audited, with idempotent writes and webhooks. Per-module references for the 14 v1-scope governance modules live under Governance reference.

If you are starting from zero, Developers → Getting Started walks you from “I have a workspace” to “I made my first call” in about thirty minutes.

Cloud and Sovereign

The same product ships in both deployments. The differences are operational, not functional:

  • In Cloud, Novantra runs the install layer. You administer your organization and your governance work.
  • In Sovereign, you run the install layer on your own infrastructure. The cross-organization governance model is available for installs hosting multiple organizations.

See Setup for Sovereign-specific setup, or Operations for the day-2 runbooks.
